Performance upgrade Mercedes-AMG GT 55 C192

707 PS (+231 PS) on production hardware with vehicle-specific Lambda‑GT calibration

From 476 to 707 PS. Same hardware, new application.

Lambda‑GT develops the GT 55 from 476 to 707 PS on its production hardware.

The GT 55 shares its essential drivetrain hardware with the more powerful GT 63 – including the Bosch MG1CP003 (MRG1V8) engine control unit – and is simply calibrated differently at the factory. This is why it sees the largest gain in the GT range. Lambda‑GT presents further stages under Performance packages.

Starting point

231 PS more – from the gap to the GT 63.

The difference between the GT 55 and the GT 63 lies essentially in the software, not in fundamentally different hardware.

From the factory, the GT 55 runs with lower boost pressure and a more conservative torque request. Lambda‑GT uses this calibration gap within the thermal and mechanical limits of the installed components. Power build-up and pedal map are reorganised so that the GT 55 feels not only stronger but coherent as a whole.

Calibration

Individual Calibration: tailored to the specific GT 55.

At Lambda‑GT, not every GT 55 simply receives the same dataset.

Before calibration, the existing software and data version of the engine control unit is read out; model year, software version and equipment are taken into account. With a gain of 231 PS, the condition of the specific vehicle matters more than with any smaller stage.

Protective functions

The GT 55's standard protective functions are not deactivated for the additional power.

Knock control, exhaust gas temperature monitoring, component protection and limp-home strategies remain part of the engine management.

With the largest upgrade in the GT programme, the limiting functions are the most important part of the work. The 707 PS are calibrated within the system architecture that also underlies the GT 63.

Data status & release

Developed, tested and documented – for the GT 55.

Lambda‑GT develops a coordinated calibration base for the C192 and adapts it to the data version of the specific GT 55.

Changes are developed against defined targets for performance, driveability and thermal behaviour, verified by measurement and documented. This keeps it traceable which data version is installed in the vehicle.

Engineering Validation

The calibration is not released after a single power run.

After calibration, Lambda‑GT tests the GT 55 under defined conditions: acceptance drive, power measurement and repeated load runs with evaluation of the temperatures.

With a gain of 231 PS, what counts is not the best single run, but the behaviour across several measurements.

Dyno Verified

707 PS are measured on the specific vehicle – not taken from a data sheet.

Every GT 55 calibrated by Lambda‑GT is measured on the in-house dyno after calibration.

The customer receives the certificate for their vehicle – with an upgrade of this magnitude, the decisive proof.

Enquiry

707 PS for the Mercedes-AMG GT 55 – individually calibrated, validated and measured on the dyno.

The Lambda‑GT calibration for the C192 combines the performance upgrade on production hardware with vehicle-specific calibration, technical validation and documented power measurement.

The calibration can also be extended with further functions or performance components – such as adjustments to start-up and idle behaviour, defined sound functions or additional performance parts, integrated into the overall calibration. Examples can be found under Real vehicle projects and Personalised vehicle configurations.
