Lambda‑GT develops the GT 63 S E PERFORMANCE from 816 to 969 PS on its production hardware.

From the factory, the combustion engine delivers 612 PS and the electric motor up to 204 PS – together 816 PS system output. Lambda‑GT works exclusively on the combustion engine. The electric motor is not modified. Lambda‑GT describes the details of forced induction under Turbochargers & Boost Systems.

Power delivery

153 PS more – integrated into the torque coordination.

With an electrified drivetrain, what matters is not the output of each source, but how the two power sources are coordinated.

The electric motor's full output is only available in certain operating states and depends in particular on state of charge and battery temperature; the combustion engine, by contrast, can be measured unambiguously on the dyno. The V8 calibration is developed within the intended system limits, so that load transitions, recuperation and boost phases run cleanly.

Calibration

Individual Calibration: tailored to the specific GT 63 S E PERFORMANCE.

A hybrid vehicle has more variables than a pure combustion car.

Besides model year and engine software, the version of the hybrid control and the condition of the high-voltage system play a role. Lambda‑GT reads out the data version of the engine control unit (Bosch MG1CP003) in the specific vehicle and calibrates on that basis, instead of adopting an application from a non-electrified GT 63.

Calibration parameters

Not as many changes as possible, but the right ones.

On the hybrid, it is not only the engine that is calibrated, but also its relationship with the electric machine.

Lambda‑GT concentrates on boost pressure and cylinder charge control, exhaust gas temperature control and the torque path, and checks every adjustment against the requirements of the hybrid control. What matters is that the torque request of the overall system and the torque delivered by the V8 match each other.

Protective functions

The GT 63 S E PERFORMANCE's standard protective functions are not deactivated for the additional power.

Knock control, exhaust gas temperature monitoring, component protection and the monitoring functions of the hybrid system remain part of the control system.

Lambda‑GT does not change any limits of the high-voltage system. The additional power is generated exclusively on the combustion engine side, matched to the existing control strategies.

Data status & release

Developed, tested and documented – for the GT 63 S E PERFORMANCE.

Lambda‑GT develops a coordinated calibration base for the GT 63 S E PERFORMANCE and adapts it to the data version of the specific vehicle.

Changes are developed against defined targets for performance, driveability and thermal behaviour, verified by measurement and documented. On the E PERFORMANCE, system compatibility is added as a separate target: the modified V8 has to behave unobtrusively within the overall system.

Engineering Validation

The calibration is not released after a single power run.

After calibration, Lambda‑GT tests the vehicle under defined conditions: acceptance drive, power measurement and operating states with different states of charge of the high-voltage battery.

The test checks whether the V8's additional power is delivered cleanly in each of these states.

Dyno Verified

969 PS are measured on the specific vehicle – not taken from a data sheet.

Every GT 63 S E PERFORMANCE calibrated by Lambda‑GT is measured on the in-house dyno after calibration.

The customer receives the certificate for their vehicle and with it traceable proof of the measured result.

The Lambda‑GT calibration for the C192 combines the performance upgrade of the combustion engine with vehicle-specific calibration, technical validation and documented power measurement.
